USICERINKS.COM JANUARY.FEBRUARY.2017 / 49 WE WANT TO HOST A REGIONAL TRAINING PROGRAM THIS YEAR. WHAT'S THE PROCESS? As we have done for the past three years, we are now accepting applications from U.S. Ice Rink Association facility members. There is a quick three-minute application that can be found on usicerinks.com that must be submitted no later than January 21. We look at the classes you can host, the class you have prioritized, the number of staff members you would register for this course, the number of surrounding rinks in the area that would support this course by also sending staff members, as well as your available months, availability of ice time (as needed for IMEO and IMPT), and additional factors, like location, regional concerns, travel options, and other factors that will make a location successful. We're working hard to make training your staff as affordable as possible and are committed to trying markets that historically have had little or no opportunities to host. In 2016, we trained more than 700 rink industry professionals while offering 31 courses in 20 states. Take the time today to complete our application online! Interested in hosting a course for just your staff? Contact John Monteleone at johnm@usicerinks.com for more information. J Q: A:
