20 JANUARY 28-FEBRUARY 10, 2017 | DENVER CATHOLIC In Brief Classifieds Drop down and give me 22! It looked a little bit like boot camp at Our Lady of Loreto school on Wednesday, Sept. 21, when the entire student body gathered to do 22 pushups each in support of those military vet- erans who suŠer from post-traumatic stress disorder. Why 22? It's estimated that 22 American military veterans commit suicide each day. Those brave men and women who fight for our right to be free deserve nothing but our full support and prayers, and that's exactly what the students of Our Lady of Loreto intended to give. In addition to the push-ups, the students of Our Lady of Loreto oŠered their prayers for veterans in front of the Blessed Sacrament during weekly adoration. If that's not true patriotism, then we don't know what is.
