DAVID LOCKINGTON MUSIC DIRECTOR, PASADENA SYMPHONY AND POPS i David's illustrious conducting career spans four decades. Originally from Great Britain, he has been thrilling symphonic audiences in the United States for over 35 years. Grammy-nominated in 2007, he served as the Music Director for the Grand Rapid's Symphony from 1999–2015 (where he remains Conductor Laureate) before he was named Music Director of the Pasadena Symphony in 2013. He is only the fi fth in the orchestra's 89-year-old history. He has toured extensively with guest conducting engagements with Saint Louis, Houston, Detroit, Toronto, Vancouver, Oregon, and Phoenix Symphonies, and internationally, in Great Britain, Israel, China and throughout Europe. EDUCATION: University of Cambridge (undergraduate); Yale University (graduate). + PROUDEST MOMENT: Taking the Grand Rapids Symphony to Carnegie Hall and completing a triathlon. Prior to that, she served as its COO for fi ve years. She led the orchestra from crisis to fi scal sustainability, transformed its artistic leadership, redefi ned its programming, and moved the orchestra into two world-class performance venues. Lora is passionate about the power of music to change the world, and is a tireless champion of the Pasadena Symphony and POPS, the region's premiere cultural institution. KEPNER PRESIDENT, BOARD OF DIRECTORS, PASADENA SYMPHONY AND POPS i Ray is President of the Board of Directors of the Pasadena Symphony Association, one of Southern California's preeminent music organizations. He also is on the Boards of the Western Justice Center and the Indiana State University Foundation. He recently retired from the law fi rm of Seyfarth Shaw, where he served as Managing Partner of the Los Angeles offi ce. In the spring of 2017, he will launch Kepner Mediation LLC, focused on resolving labor/employment disputes.
