THE WOLVERINE 2017 FOOTBALL PREVIEW ■ 81 TIGHT ENDS PLAYER BIOS POSITION COACH Greg Frey, in his first season back with the Wol- verines, returns to the team following six seasons at Indiana. This time around, Frey will concentrate on tackles and tight ends while also shouldering run game coordinator duties. Frey began as the offensive line coach with the Hoosiers in 2011 before moving up to run game coordinator from 2012-13 and co-offensive coor- dinator from 2014-15. In 2016, Frey was named assistant head coach for Indiana. His first stint at U-M was from 2008-10. As a player, Frey was a member of the Florida State football team from 1992-95, winning four straight ACC championships, one national champi- onship (1992) and three straight Orange Bowls in the three years following the national title.
