The Reverse Vertical
Horizontal (or RVH) is an
effective technique to guard
against wraparounds and
jam plays. The goaltender
seals the post with his or her
body with the pad of the goal
stick positioned along the
ice to take away a shooter's
angle near the bottom of the
circle, but above the goal line.
