LOOPER
This American science fiction film unveils an exciting futuristic time plot. Featuring fine performances by Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Bruce Willis and Emily Blunt, this is a must watch.
Joseph Gordon-Levitt stars in this seminal sci-fi picture from Rian Johnson, director of indie hit Brick. Much like that fantas- tic slice of neo-noir, Looper exists in a superbly realised world of it's own.
The title refers to a profession imaginable only by 2074 – an assassin who takes care of mafia targets sent back from 30 years ago. They meet their looper – along with their fate – in a barren, far-flung field, and the only rule is to never let the target escape.
But when Joe (Gordon-Levitt) is tasked with killing his future self (Bruce Willis), things get understandably complicated. But it seems future Joe has an even bigger surprise in store…
Looper is a densely layered classic, expertly handled by John- son. And with Inception and The Dark Knight Rises already in the bag, Gordon-Levitt cements his reputation as a reliable muse for intelligent blockbusters.
