34 HIP HOP / RNB www.guestlist.net ARTIST OF THE MONTH Sincere Issue 43 / 2012 GUESTLIST RECOMMENDS MACHINE GUN KELLY We're proud to present our hip-hop artist of the month, Sincere. The man's been around for a while, as last summer he brought us the hit track 'Ain't Nobody Like You', a serious floor filler that perfectly showcased his street- influenced style, crossed with mainstream appeal and massively catchy hooks. Sincere recently came off a massive tour with Rita Ora and DJ Fresh and is now ready to give us this summer's hit single entitled 'Deja Vu', his first release on Mercury Records. The single has already earned the coveted 'Hottest Record In The World' by Zane Lowe and has an energetic video to accompany the track (chock- full of eye candy) already reaching plays in the thousands on YouTube. The only way from here for Sincere is way, way up. Be the first of your friends to get to know this artist. MGK is now touring Europe, and his debut album, Lace Up, will be available the 9th of October. This month Guestlist recommends the 22-year-old Bad Boy Records artist Machine Gun Kelly, the Cleveland Boy known for his speedy flow, dislike of wearing a shirt and incredible collaborations. He rose to fame back in 2010 after already releasing a string of mixtapes as well as becoming the first white rapper to win the talent contest at the world famous Harlem Apollo Theatre. Even early on in his career he brought the rain, absolutely killing tracks and developing his multifarious style. From aggressive, chopping and unforgiving to soulful, smooth and meaningful, Machine Gun Kelly is definitely an artist to watch as he continues to stay interesting and progressive with his style. Both with underground and mainstream appeal, its time you got to know MGK. ALBUM OF THE MONTH Wiz Khalifa- O.N.I.C.F TOUR SCHEDULE : JAGUAR SKILLS & HIS AMAZING FRIENDS The famous Mash-Up DJ who has performed this year in Festivals such as Wireless, Parklife, Lovebox, Creamfields or Bestival and also resided in Ibiza with Jade Jagger's Jezebel nights, never stops. He'll still be touring with his 2CD album full of exclusive mixes during next October. Fri 12 October Oxford O2 Academy (Adam F, Calvertron, DJ@War) Sat 13 October London HMV Forum (Hadouken, Calvertron, B.Traits, DJ@War) Fri 19 October Nottingham Stealth (DJ@War) Sat 20 October Guernsey Fusion (DJ@War) The Taylor Gang leader rocks a fur coat and red and white pants displaying his own sense of style on the front cover of his new album. O.N.I.C.F is proof that Wiz Khalifa is not planning on stepping down from the rap game anytime soon. Just over a year after his release of rolling papers and the Mac and Devin go to high school soundtrack which he recorded alongside rap legend Snoop Dogg, he continues on a high as he puts the finishing touches on his much anticipated album O.N.I.C.F (only nigga in first class). Which in interviews Wiz has proclaimed is a story about being young, black, rich and the racial stereotyping that he received travelling in airports especially in first class. The album due out on the 28th of August is a step away from his previous work, featuring some of the games biggest names, such as Adam Levine, Chris Brown and The Weeknd, while producers Pharrell, Will.I.am and Rico Love have all contributed to the production. I Recommend you roll one up and enjoy the vibe.
