and special events are no exception. Our
facility is 69 acres. During events, every staff
member is equipped with a walkie-talkie. This
is a fast and effective way to handle questions,
requests and potential emergency situations.
Through steadfast determination and flexibility,
when conditions permit, we have successfully
hosted many high-profile and highly attended
events, including for VISIT Milwaukee, the USA
Ultimate College Championships and NSCAA
College Showcase – North, and they'll be
returning later this year. We just completed
hosting back-to-back weekend youth soccer
tournaments including almost 300 teams. We
are hosting two more major events this month,
too. One is the WIAA Girls State Basketball
Championship that features some of the best
high school athletes in Wisconsin.
In the famous words of Henry Ford, "Coming
together is a beginning; keeping together is
progress; working together is success." The
staff at Uihlein Soccer Park, a proud part of
the Milwaukee County Parks System, values,
appreciates and respects its partnerships,
and will continue to support its community and
promote the city of Milwaukee.
