General Session,
State of the Industry
The General Session brought everyone
together for the official welcome, including
relaunch of the USIndoor app and Conference
and industry news from Association president
Don Shapero. Next, Jim Cline, of The Goals
Group, delivered the State of the Industry
Report with information on trends in sports
participation, sports tourism, and financing.
Finally, former NFL player Marques Ogden
presented the Keynote Address, speaking
about his experiences as a businessman who
lost everything in just a few months.
Startup Track
For those just getting into the industry or
thinking about it, the long-running Startup
Track kicked off with a full room and covered
numerous issues essential for developing one's
business plan, obtaining financing, building a
management team, and avoiding
undue risks.
