www.BLUEANDGOLD.com PRESEASON 2017 25 a 96-by-54 feet HD video board on the south end of the stadium that is projected to "tell the story" of the uni- versity, while also providing better in- game engagement, including replays of top plays or controversial calls. Head coach Brian Kelly has had the team practice inside the Stadium several times to get used to the new dynamics. He noted that the initial excitement of the new video board could also be a distraction. "Not in a bad way, but in a way that requires our team to focus, lock in," Kelly said. "You start to run your offense down to that scoreboard and that big screen, it is imposing in the sense that it can distract you if you're not really locked in. "It's going to be a great atmosphere for our guys. They're really going to enjoy it. But it's going to require them to have a laser focus." Just like at the Purcell Pavilion and the Compton Family Ice Arena, the university will not allow advertising or commercials on the video boards. The previous scoreboards on the south and north ends of the stadium were removed and replaced by side- line ribbon boards on the east and west side that also mark down, dis- tance, scores from other games, etc. Inside Notre Dame Stadium, the most dominant feature of the Campus Crossroads Project is the addition of the 96-by-54-feet High Definition video board on the south end of the structure that will include replays, among many other uses.
