The citizens of Christiana don't follow the laws of society that everyone else in Denmark does. They make their own rules. No paying rent, taxes and they run their own schools/businesses. They have made their own 'Freetown.' The town itself is self-governing and doesn't have many laws. It has a few rules, which are known as 'Christiana's Common Law'. These means, 'no fighting, no weapons, no stolen goods and no hard drugs'. In Christiana, there is no passport control and you don't need a visa to get in to the town. The only thing you need is proof that you are legally allowed to be in Europe. 'Pusher Street' is where marijuana is sold openly on the street, Cannabis shops are open 24 hours a day and sell 30–40 types of hashish! There are many music venues and museums for people to visit. Such as 'Gay House' a popular destination that has lots of events for the LGBT community. As well as the Loppen, an alternative concert venue that plays everything from rock, punk to reggae and hip hop. However, the Grey Hall is the largest gig hall in Christiania. Since its birth international stars have graced this venue. From Bob Dylan, Faithless, Metallica & Rage Against The Machine. This is a town like no other!
