As far as Shanghai, China, the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II was celebrated with a pop-up tea party, including a reception held with a "special" guest – a Queen looka- like. In Windsor, UK, British Airways invited guests to participate in the prestigious Dia- mond Jubilee Pageant. For more than 93 years, British Airways has delivered a premium service with clas- sic British elegance to millions of customers around the globe. And the Queen's associa- tion with the airline started as early as 1947, when Her Majesty, then Princess Elizabeth, visited London Airport to christen an Avro Tudor aircraft for BOAC, a predecessor of the British Airways. Since then, the Royal Family have regularly chosen British Airways to fl y them in comfort and safety for their international tours. The Diamond Jubilee marks the 60 years of Queen Elizabeth II's reign. This is also the second time in the histories of the United Kingdom for the monarch to have celebrat- ed the Diamond Jubilee, with the other be- ing that of Queen Victoria's in 1897. British Airways has a worldwide route network that covers more than 150 des- tinations in 75 countries. The airline has carried more than 1.2 billion customers on its extensive network, and is recognised as one of the world's elite carriers.
