Designed by SCDA Architects, AB Concept and Poole Associates Private Limited, W Retreat & Spa Bali – Seminyak has been designed to exude an exhilarating look and feel that flirts with the counterpoints of conceal/reveal and inside/outside of Bali's legendary night mysticism, allowing guests to mix and mingle, to be part of the scene or remain unseen as they escape to their own retreats. The retreat radiates with a contemporary twist on traditional Balinese design, refl ecting the island's rich, natural beauty and cultural heritage while stimulating guests' senses with playful punches of modern designs and textures. Bali's new "Indigenous Utopia" begins in a terraced lobby space ("Welcome" in W lingo) – the signature W Lounge – that reveals a sensual aura with vibrant tropical pinks and purples and oversized day beds facing the coastal breeze. Swaths of billowing, sheer linen dance throughout the space, while sturdy synthetic rattan further blurs the line between inside and out .
