Trends impacting travel agents
The hospitality industry in Vietnam is developing at a very rapid pace with hospitality groups such as IHG who are already in the market looking to expand their network and other such as the Banyan Tree group looking to enter the country. The two new resorts from IHG's Holiday Inn are to open in prime
beachfront locations in Vietnam's top- ranked resort destinations of Cam Ranh Bay and Phu Quoc Island, where- as Banyan Tree is fi rst presence in the Vietnamese market will be in Hue. For this week's feature, we take a look at the existing hotels in Vietnam which cater to the different segments of lei- sure and business travellers.

Laguna Lang Co
Whilst this week's feature is on existing properties in the Vietnamese market, one to look out for is the upcoming project, Laguna Lang Co by the Banyan Tree Group. Situ a ted on a 28 0 -hect are
beachfront site that is within an hour's drive from both Danang and Hue international airports, Laguna Lang Co is positioned to be one of the largest premium integrated resor ts and second home destination in Vietnam and across South East Asia, through which the Group will replicate the success of its flagship destination resort, Laguna Phuket. In line with the Group's global expansion plans, the project also enables the Group to gain a foothold in the growing Indochina tourism industry and to introduce its signature brand of Asian hospitality to Vietnam. Apart from providing its hotel
and spa management services to the hotels in the development, Banyan Tree is also the master planner and designer for the development. When fully developed in accordance with the master plan, Laguna Lang Co will have approximately 2000 hotel keys under the management of seven international branded hotel and resorts, which include one Banyan Tree and Angsana
