Editor's Note Natalie Chen | Editor, TravelWeekly Asia natalie.chen@tenalpsasia.com Sailing along When my grandp are nt s we re younger, they enjoyed going on cruises and my mom and I would tag along. Cruising is back in vogue again and has much to offer travellers, from dining options to entertainment to activities. One of my favourite holidays was on a Star Cruise ship with my cousin but after seeing Titanic alas she couldn't sleep and was in a comatose state the next day. Thinking of that experience brings a smile to my face as I teased her endlessly about it. Also there was indeed lots of food provided especially scrumptious oys- ters. Cruise liners now focus on qual- ity rather than quantity of food, they emphasize. That should indeed be true as they need to appeal to seasoned, discerning travellers. Tasty spreads aside, other services are offered. For example Kids are en- tertained by chaperons on board while parents can lounge by the pool or go rock climbing and play mini-golf. For those who want to exer t themselves more there are aerobic and yoga classes. In the evenings there are live music performances to comedy shows. Indeed with so much to offer, it's no surprise that Asia's cruise indus- try may hit seven million by 2015. There is a growing China market and this may get a boost when the new terminal in Shanghai opens this year. To fi nd out more about cruising check out our feature article in this issue of TravelWeekly Asia. Also in this issue, is our new CEO column, this is the sec- ond of the series and we put the spot- light on Abacus president and CEO, Robert Bailey.
