Write It On Your Skin reaching No.1 in the UK Albums SECRET SUNDAZE CLOSING PARTY @ OVAL 30TH SEPTEMBER The final chapter of the much loved summer favourite party Secretsundaze took place last month at the East London warehouse The Oval. Two Armadillos, Martin Dawson and Secretsundaze co-founder Giles Smith played their first ever live set in the UK, also topping the bill was John Heckle. However, the highlight of the party for us was 3024 head honcho, Martyn. This guy got the crowd hyped, spinning old school classics such as Inner City 'Good Life', the vibes were absolutely crazy. A perfect end to the summer! @ CABLE 14TH SEPTEMBER SWERVE FRIDAYS! Swerve, that has been the long- standing staple wednesday night in the drum and bass cal- endar, gave regulars and new comers a special treat with a one off Friday special. Marcus Intalex and Fabio brought the flavour, and special appereance from LTJ Bukem, who absolute- ly smashed it. MARY'S CHURCH Recently I got into Woodburner Day, the London folk music festival that took place at St. Mary's Old Church, in Stoke Newington. 11 bands such as Bard, Brooke Sharkey & many more performed a few songs playing banjos, violins, cellos and accordions, but we could also hear electric guitars trumpets and batteries, accompanied with soft and melodic voices that brought the audience from melancholy states to dance like crazy. Chart, get ready for a night of beautiful music. DRUM & BASS Dr Meaker drops new single 'Fighter' On November 5th V Recordings present 'Fighter', the new single by Bristol collective Dr Meaker. This uplifting drum and bass anthem, 'Fighter' has been tearing up clubs worldwide and over a month ahead of release, has notched-up a huge amount of top-end radio support. DUBSTEP I Wanna Hear You Skreamizm! On Friday 9th November Skreamizm makes its London debut at Brixton auditorium Electric.
