NC State was trailing archrival UNC 14-12 in the third quarter
when junior running back Nyheim Hines took matters into his own
hands. With 40 seconds left, he scored on a 54-yard touchdown run.
After an interception by senior linebacker Airius Moore at the
UNC 48-yard line, Hines pulled away from the UNC defense on this
run for another touchdown, giving him 102 yards and two scores
on back-to-back carries. This run also put him over 1,000 rushing
yards for the season.
The Wolfpack went on to beat the Tar Heels 33-21 Nov. 25.
