The manufacturer, which quickly made a name for building quality fifth wheels and then ventured into the travel trailer market, supposedly was working on a stick-and-tin product. As the rumors swirled, dealers visiting Elkhart Open House Week in September dashed to the display only to see the latest enhancements to Grand Design's existing nameplates. But by the time the RVIA National Trade Show rolled around, General Manager Micah Staley and his team were ready to roll out the Transcend, to those who were anxiously waiting to see how the company would reconcile the notion of a stick-and-tin travel trailer with its hard-earned reputation for high quality. Dealers weren't disappointed. "It's hard to be unique in the stick-and-tin market because S H O W C O V E R A G E S H O W C O V E R A G E Despite being an introductory-level stick-and-tin trailer, the Transcend comes nicely equipped with standard amenities.
