It comes standard with an Allison 2200MH six-speed automatic transmission, custom-tuned Sachs shocks, a Walther WEMC quad-piston hydraulic disc brakes and a one-piece continuous straight rail frame. The MC chassis supports a gross vehicle weight of up to 37,000 pounds. Meanwhile, the DD8 is a 7.7-liter diesel engine offering up to 375 horsepower at 2,200 RPM and 1,050 pounds per feet of torque. It features an Allison 3000MH automatic transmission. The XCR chassis features a GVW of up to 26,000 pounds and V-Ride technology with a 24,000-pound rear suspension. The Detroit diesel engine that powers both chassis is from Daimler, of which FCCC also is a part. Taylor said both new engines bring the best of Detroit diesel to FCCC's proven RV diesel platform, including enhanced fuel economy and torque compared with competitive gas and diesel products, as well as longer maintenance intervals. The MC chassis and DriveForce engine attracted a good amount of attention at the National RV Trade Show. FCCC officials said manufacturers and dealers had encouraged the company to enter the Class A gas motorhome market for several years now.
