S.C.U.M, which stands for 'Supreme Cut Untouched Magnificence', is the new LP from Harlesden's Da Flyy Hooligan. It's been a hot minute since we had some fresh material from Dabbla, Illaman and Dubbledge, the London based hybrid rap team otherwise known as Problem Child. South London brings you the most lit event this NYE, with Gold Teeth New Year's Eve hip-hop party at Brixton Jamm. Last year was mad one and this year will not disappoint. In our hip hop single of the month 'What You Want?', Problem Child invite the super swift UK barsman Orifice Vulgatron of Foreign Beggars down to the their dingy London warehouse for a few bars and a suitably friendly game of table-tennis. The music video for 'What You Want' is directed by Slim Yearwood and set to a Sumgii produced, fully subterranean cut, with some super seductive ladies plagued by an odd fruit fetish. Confirming the pimptastic status of the tin-sipping brother from another, comedian Romesh Ranganathan, all while the Problem Child MCs bowl through with their distinct and audibly diverse spitting styles. The Notorious P.I.G team is turning it up this year with a twisted circus theme to excite the bendiest of souls. Performers, fire breathers, stilt-walkers and more weird and wonderful views that will get your snap popping. Minus Pennywise though. Brixton Jamm will be taking you back to your old school roots, with a mix of fresh jams to sink your hips into. They will be blazing out the hottest tunes from start to finish. Special guests will also be turning up the circus vibes! From Yung Jozy, Baeb, Sophie Simone, Beggar and Beats Bourguigon. Be sure to grab your tickets before the year is out! The album has a wonderfully decadent soundscape throughout, courtesy of the effortlessly classy, downbeat soul flavours of the relatively unknown producer Agor. Working perfectly with Da Fly Hooligan's charismatic delivery, Agor's work here has such a luscious and rich sound that it could easily be mistaken as an entirely analogue production. With features from fellow 22 Entertainment act Hus Kingpin as well as from Daupe! Record's Westside Gunn, Da Flyy Hooligan is fast cementing a reputation as one to watch in the midst of the burgeoning British hip hop scene. In comparison to his first offering in 2016, Da Flyy Hooligan's style on his last record FYLPM as well as here on S.C.U.M has matured in solid fashion whilst losing none of that north west London grittiness. Track after track this LP impresses with its consistent sound.
