22 ISSUE 106 / 2018 FESTIVALS The time for freezing is up and we are almost ready for the summer. Before 2019 arrives with all the Brexit shit, here are some of the greatest indie festivals to enjoy this year. Madcool If you haven't visited Madrid yet, you are in luck, find cheap flights to the capital of Spain and get amazingly stuffed with tapas along with your cañas (half pints), get ready to rock and roll the night with an army of musicians that form the lineup of Madcool. Some of the acts that stick out this year are Pearl Jam, Massive Attack, Depeche Mode, Maya Jane Coles, BRMC, Franz Ferdinand and Snow Patrol. From Thursday 12th - 14th of July you will be partying non-stop! British Summer Time However, if you would rather stay chill in London, book your tickets to this legendary weekend festival from July 6th - 14th at Hyde Park. The names for this upcoming festival includes Roger Waters, The Cure, Eric Clapton and Michael Bublé at the moment, with more to be confirmed later. Lucca Summer Festival Hot is the summer and cold will be the ice cream you will be enjoying while holding an Aperol Spritz in Lucca, Italy. Head to this particular one-day festival and listen to the Gorillaz, Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds and Lenny Kravitz on the 12th of July. BBK Bilbao Big acts as always, BBK Bilbao festival in Spain will never disappoint! Their 2018 lineup includes some massive names, from Alt J, Noel Gallagher, The XX, The Chemical Brothers, Gorillaz, Fischerspooner and many more on the 12th -14th of July.
