The American rapper explained further why getting involved in politics is so important for him, "It is very important that we accept responsibility as leaders in this country. And the sooner we do that, the sooner we will see this country's ways represent us." Primavera Sound 2018 lineup announced! This year's Primavera will run from May the 28th to June the 3rd. More than 200 artists have already been booked, from Daphni, Floating Points, DJ Koze and Björk. As usual the festival will be held at Parc del Fòrum. Awol is back at Ministry! On the 1st of April 2018, 'Awol A Way Of Life' makes its comeback to Ministry of Sound with a massive lineup. Big names like Logan D, Randall, DJ Kenny Ken, Uncle Dugs and Eksman will have us partying through the night. So get your tickets while you can cause this year's Awol is going to be one for the ages. Vampire Weekend announce first UK festival date in over 4 years The band will be performing at the End of The Road festival, alongside Feist, Ezra Furman, St Vincent and Yo La Tengo on 31st of August to the 1st of September. This announcement also adds to the speculation that the group will be releasing new music in 2018. It already looks like this will be another big year for the NewYorkers so make sure you don't miss out on all the fun. Founding member of Steel Pulse, Steve Grizzly Nesbit passes away Sad news has hit the world of reggae as Steel Pulse announce Steve Grizzly Nesbit passed away this January. Grizzly performed as the band's drummer from 1977 until 1998, on Steel Pulse's Facebook page they wrote, "the joy that Grizz had bringing the Steel Pulse music and message to our beloved fans around the world, will continue on..." PREVIEW YASIIN BEY BLESSING LONDON IN MARCH Hip Hop heavy weight Yasiin Bey is set to deliver a monstrous set on the 8th of March at Troxy! The rapper known previously as Mos Def, needs little introduction. Yasiin Bey first exploded on the scene as part of legendary rap duo Black Star with Talib Kweli in 1998. A year later his debut Black On Both Sides cemented him as a rap prodigal. Since then the New York rapper has continued to create critically acclaimed work. Still as fresh as ever, the rapper comes back to London to give us another unmissable performance with Jeru the Damaja and Mr Thing. This is going to be one special night. For a little while now DJ W!ld has been running these undercover events at this most balling of venues in Bedford Square. The costumes are off the chain, sometimes the drinks are complimentary, the vibes are special and if you could imagine some crazy French DJ popping off at a fetish party then that's what is happening and this is it. Playing alongside DJ W!ld is Funk E and Einzelkind on the 23rd of February. See you on the dancefloor! PREVIEW GREAT MUSIC, GREAT VIBES AND SOMETHING A LITTLE DIFFERENT For the first time in history, a party took place in zero gravity, headlined by some of the biggest DJs in the world. The specially converted A310 aircraft, used by the European Space Agency (ESA) for astronaut training flights, took off from Frankfurt Airport on February 7th. The flight lasted a total of 90 minutes, with headliners Armin Van Buuren, Steve Aoki and W&W providing the soundtrack to one of the most unique party experiences ever conceived.
