In January, Archbishop Samuel J. Aquila journeyed to the country of
Tanzania in Africa for the fi rst time to visit Immaculate Heart of Mary
Parish's sister parish Christ the King. IHM pastor Father James Spahn
served as the archbishop's guide while there. The people of Tanzania
warmly welcomed Archbishop Aquila as he traveled from outstation to
outstation o€ ering Mass for the faithful, and he was surprised by the
depth of the people's faith there. They would often walk for hours to get
to Mass and bring whatever they had to o€ er.
