MARCH MSHSL Boys' Hockey Tournament WHEN: March 7-10 WHERE: Xcel Energy Center HOW MUCH?: Single session Class A and AA tickets are $17 for adults, $11 for students WHY CHECK IT OUT: We really don't need to tell you why you need to check it out. It's a staple in the State of Hockey and you get to cheer for the kids who came up through your community. Minnesota Hockey Youth State Tournament WHEN: March 16-18 WHERE: Arenas around the state (visit minnesotahockey.org for more info.) WHY CHECK IT OUT: There's nothing better than watching kids having fun and gunning for a state title with their buddies. NCHC Frozen Faceoff WHEN: March 16-17 WHERE: Xcel Energy Center HOW MUCH?: Single session tickets start at $30. Each session guarantees two games (session one includes both semifinal games; session two includes the championship and third-place game) WHY CHECK IT OUT: After four years at Target Center, the NCHC Frozen Faceoff crosses the river to Xcel Energy Center. Expect a lot of homegrown talent and classic college hockey rivalries on display. NCAA Women's Frozen Four WHEN: March 16-18 WHERE: Ridder Arena HOW MUCH?: Adult seating with a chair- back $40; Adult seating on the bench $30; Student/youth/senior $25; Group of 10+ $20 each; Suites $55 WHY CHECK IT OUT: The University of Minnesota Golden Gophers have hung the championship banner four of the past six years. No matter which teams are playing, you're bound to see some familiar Minnesota faces and potentially some future Olympic stars. Minnesota Wild home games in March March 4 vs. Detroit Red Wings March 6 vs. Carolina Hurricanes March 13 vs. Colorado Avalanche March 19 vs. Los Angeles Kings March 24 vs. Nashville Predators March 25 vs. Boston Bruins March 29 vs. Dallas Stars APRIL (because this year the madness extends past March) NCAA Men's Frozen Four WHEN: April 5 & 7 WHERE: Xcel Energy Center HOW MUCH?: Ticket package prices begin at $150. WHY CHECK IT OUT: Could we have multiple teams from Minnesota in the Frozen Four? Stay tuned. Mark Your Calendars NOT JUST HOCKEY… With St. Patrick's Day falling on a Saturday this year, St. Paul will be overflowing with people in green.
