Before you died for us, you gave us the holy priesthood and the Eucharist at the Last Supper. We thank you for our priest, who is your minister to help us grow in holiness and to attain heaven. We are grateful for the many gifts that he brings to our community: for leading us together in Eucharistic worship, for bap- tizing our children, for visiting us in our homes, for comforting us in sickness, for blessing our marriage, for forgiving us our sins, for supporting us in sorrow, for helping us to grow in faith, for inspiring us to be saints. We want to always be attentive to our priest, and never to take him for granted. He needs our friendship and love, kind words and acts of thoughtfulness, and our prayers and sacrifi ces. Dear Lord, we ask you to bless our priest and confi rm him in his vocation. Give him the gifts that he needs to shep- herd us in holiness, strength and joy. We o' er to you this prayer for our priest, who is our father, brother, and friend. Amen. FOR SALE HOUSEHOLD GOODS!! Colonial Rose service for eight w/extras - $150. During the lively and fun-filled fundraiser, the school's principal, Matt Hauptly, announced groundbreaking news regarding the school's $6.25 million capital campaign, "Achieving the Vision." Hauptly stated that since the fall of 2017, $3.1 million had already been com- mitted to the three-year fund drive, thanks to the financial sacrifices of alumni, parents, and Holy Family supporters. Most noteworthy, Hauptly stressed, was the more than $200,000 raised from the school's dedicated faculty and staš. Only minutes into his remarks, Hauptly introduced Deacon Steve Stemper, CEO and President of The Catholic Foundation, who astonished attendees by stating that the Foundation would issue the largest grant in its 20-year history — $1 million — to the Holy Family capital campaign in support of its Catholic-driven mission and vision. After Stemper's disclosure of the Foundation's remarkable investment, Hauptly shared with attendees that a second $1 million gift had been pledged to the fund drive from an anonymous Holy Family community member. Finally, Archbishop Samuel J. Aquila joined Hauptly and Stemper on stage to announce a $1 million match opportunity. Archbishop Aquila toasted to the future success of the capital campaign, saying, "…the archdiocese salutes your commitment to providing students with the best faith-filled high school experience possible and the opportunity to expand your reach and impact." Archbishop Samuel J. Aquila makes a toast after $2 million was pledged toward Holy Family High School's capital campaign at the Holy Family Tiger Gala May 5.
