Ode To My Brother,
The Hockey Player
Compare my brother to a hockey game,
Exuberant, happy with a love to play.
He doesn't always listen to what I say,
He's ready to establish his own fame.
He skates down the ice with incredible speed,
Holding the stick with a powerful grip.
Speeding to the net he obtains the nip,
Scoring for his teammates he gains the lead.
Over his head with great jubilant glee,
He raises his stick in celebration.
Circling the ice for all friends to see,
Demonstrating joy with acclamation.
Emulating the Great Gretzky
Lining up to shake hands in formation.
