Whether it's her home life in Concord, Mass, with her husband and four children, or her successful broadcast career, this two-time Olympian is well versed and versatile. Mleczko's insights have been a valuable part of the NBC's Olympic women's hockey tele- casts since 2006, including the most recent Olympics in PyeongChang, South Korea. Recently Mleczko broke another broadcast glass ceiling by becoming the first woman to work as a color analyst during the Stanley Cup playoffs. "It's a bit surreal, and I've been involved in broadcasting for a long enough time that it's a place where I'm pretty comfortable," Mleczko said. "I'm a huge fan of hockey at every level and the NHL is such an amazing product. I watch NHL games, and to be in the booth calling the game is certainly very exciting." Mleczko worked alongside Kenny Albert during the first- round series between the Nashville Predators and Colorado Avalanche, and also worked games during the Predators seven-game series with the Winnipeg Jets. "I've played the game at a high level, I'm a student and fan of the game, I work hard to improve, and I do my homework, and that's all you need to be successful," she said. "People are making a big deal out of it, but at the same time hockey is hockey."
