Versace made the announcement during
an interview with the Economist's 1843
magazine. She said: "Fur? I am out of
that. I don't want to kill animals to make
fashion. It doesn't feel right."
This is a big step for a fashion giant
like Versace. Gucci is also another brand
that decided to auction the remainder
of their fur collection to donate money
to animal rights charities.
However, we are not the only
ones celebrating, Humane Society
International stated: "Versace is a
massively influential luxury brand that
symbolises excess and glamour, and so
its decision to stop using fur shows that
compassionate fashion has never been
more on trend."
Nowadays fashion is becoming more
ethical and mindful of what they use.
Fur is no longer a thing but faux fur may
be back in and why not?
