As far as Off-Sonar parties go, this
series promises to be an absolute
belter, with some phenomenal
electronic programming featuring
Moodyman, Jamie XX, Marco Carola,
Apollonia, Hot Since 82, Joy Orbison
and a whole lot more.
But what makes this event so special
is the location. Your right in amongst
some of Spain's most beautiful
buildings, in very traditional Spanish
settings that's guaranteed to bring out
the very essence of Catalioan culture
in you. Poble Espanyol is perched high
up on a hill, offering some stunning
panoramic views of Barcelona, the
area has been designed to replicate a
traditional Spanish Village.
The Fiesta takes place over 3 unique
sections. Carpa & Picnic is at the
bottom of the hill and is already
a venue which has played host to
techno's leading figures, while Plaza
Mayor's is literally built for large
festivals and street parties and is a
replica of the Castilian square of Riaza
in Segovia. We can expect the main
action to be taking place here.
Once you marry all this with over
75 artists playing across four days in
glorious climates, Poble Espanyol has
all of a sudden become a guaranteed
diary entry in our Sonar Calendar.
