JUL-AUG 2018 45 MEETINGS & CONVENTIONS MCMAG-ASIA.COM A night at the bund In brief: For an annual birthday celebration, FDR Concepts created a unique event concept entirely from scratch. Held at the historic Capitol Theatre, the theme for the dinner event took cue from the theatre's neoclassical architecture style built from the 1930s. The theatre interiors were transformed into a glamorous dinner club with Art Deco and Art Nouveau designs, a burst of orals, verdant greens and statement antique pieces. Venue: Capitol Theatre Singapore Programme: A group of 60 guests arrived at the venue in style through a private red carpet experience. Entertainment for the evening covered a wide spectrum, from vocal performance, comedy, dance to illusionists and acrobatic acts, who were specially own in from Spain, Venue: Grand Ballroom and Grand Foyer of The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore. Programme: To reect the theme of "Innovation", the hotel's Grand Ballroom was transformed to incorporate a customised stage that showcased innovative performances. During a fashion show, dresses made from aluminium were showcased, while technology with loop music and LED dancers featured during the live music performance. "Creativity" was reected by an acrobatic show. In addition, guests also enjoyed a specially crafted dinner menu by two Michelin star chef, Jean-François Piège, in collaboration with the hotel's culinary team. A pre-dinner cocktail reception was held at the Grand Foyer.
