Textron’s 2019 Model UTVs The Wildcat XX has a new LTD model and more power Textron is definitely making a push in the side-by-side market with powerful and sporty models. With that, the company recently announced its newest models for 2019 which includes the Wildcat XX model, a popular race vehicle that is used in Baja racing by several race teams. 2019 Textron Wildcat XX LTD Joining the Wildcat XX line is the new LTD model that includes more customization with a premium SSV Bluetooth Audio system that includes a set of Kicker speakers. The LTD also has a half windshield, a marine-grade Bimini Roof featuring a built-in roll-up top with a sun screen for nice days, and aggressive front/rear bumpers. It’s also available in Jet Black. More Horsepower Both the Wildcat XX and Wildcat XX LTD models enjoy additional horsepower for the 2019 model year. Now with 130 horsepower produced by its 998cc DOHC naturally aspirated engine, racers and enthusiasts will enjoy higher speeds and greater capabilities. The new models also retain their 65-amp alternator and drive-by-wire throttle technology, which the company says improves the UTV’s ultra-smooth acceleration and off-gas deceleration. The company also retained its Rapid Response clutches on the 2019 models, along with its heavy-duty front gearcase and rear transaxle with electronic selectable 2WD/4WD, front differential lock and easy shifting between gears. Baja Inspired Suspension The extra speed from more horsepower requires a suspension system that can handle the abuse, but Textron left the current front and rear suspension systems alone. Both Wildcat XX models feature18-inches of wheel travel, utilizing a wishbone-style rear trailing arm and front double A-arm. Front and rear suspensions utilize Fox 2.5 Podium QS3 shocks with Bottom Out Control and three-position compression adjustment. Both models feature custom 15-inch KMC wheels and 30-inch CST Behemoth tires. Additional Protection The Wildcat XX and XX LTD models also feature front and rear bumpers to protect the vehicle, but additional protection for occupants includes a race-inspired ROPS cage with added V-shaped intrusion bars for added strength and rigidity. Occupants will also enjoy new seating that is contoured and ergonomically shaped for additional comfort. Upper body supports and three-point seat belts are also included as are full-panel half doors that are fully finished on the inside, plus automotive-style dual mechanism door operation with push button entry, and a curved dashboard that aims 60 percent of the viewing space toward the driver. 2019 models also feature a new digital gauge that tilts in unison with the adjustable steering wheel. The Wildcat XX is available in Bright White and has an MSRP of $20,699. The Wildcat XX LTD is available in Jet Back and has an MSRP of $21,999.
