carefully selected for their specific expertise; social events and meals are crafted to maximize peer-networking opportunities. all of this comes together to create the most well-rounded conference experience for attendees. Participants will take away knowledge, practical advice and an incredible wealth of contacts to best implement technology and services in their organization. the value of the registration fee can be realized as quickly as your first day back in the office! Volunteer Team Ilta's annual conference is built by Ilta members for Ilta members. there are over 400 volunteers who commit their time and talent to making Ilta '09 a success. they, along with the Ilta staff, are committed to delivering a high-value experience for all attendees. the educational program is developed by a team of Ilta member volunteers. this includes Peer group vice Presidents and their steering committees, and a conference committee of track chairs and track coordinators who have extensive legal industry experience, coupled with strong knowledge of legal technology. We have lawyers, cIos, directors, managers and staff from various technical areas, firm sizes and geographical locations to form a well-rounded, diverse group to deliver a wide range of content. check out the conference website to "meet" those who have put together an amazing educational program for you! or better yet, meet them in person at national harbor in august! Ilta conference speakers are a great mix of Ilta members and vendors. at least 65% of the expected 350 speakers are Ilta members sharing experiences. our vendors offer their expertise with a primary focus on sharing the value of their knowledge. of course, their products and services are available at conference, but at Ilta, vendors pride their attendance on the education they can provide their current and potential clients. by sharing in this way, their products and services can sell themselves, alleviating the "trade show" feel of other conferences and stressing the educational value of Ilta. Social Networking Ilta '09 will be utilizing a number of social networking tools as the "voice of the conference" as well as to offer educational opportunities for those who aren't quite current on all the latest communication tools. Twitter: • We have a twitter presence that is already building quite a following: www.twitter.com/ilta09. check it out as often as you like to stay in touch. there will also be a live twitter board in the conference center during the event. Facebook: • the Ilta '09 Facebook group is growing as members share ideas, pictures and messages. We will use this group as the place to talk about networking events in the weeks leading up to conference. access to the group is by approval/invitation and is only open to Ilta members and vendors. request to join via your Facebook account. Blogging: • the conference blog will have articles, opinions, guest bloggers and much more. Ilta officers and conference committee members will be blogging lots of valuable information to keep you updated. additionally, there will be live-blogging at conference. Watch for the launch on Facebook and the chatter on twitter — many opportunities for experts to use their favorite networking tools and for novices to explore their options. Find the inner blogger, tweeter or social networking guru in you. We are building a conference packed with education and networking opportunities to help ensure the highest value proposition possible. We are confident that all attendees will take away a solid array of knowledge and professional contacts to benefit their firms and law departments for years to come. only a few months until conference — we hope you'll join us for the premier legal event of the year! read more about the event and register at http://conference.iltanet.org.
