SPRING2019 11 Running camps both indoors and outdoors, Uihlein Soccer Park has hosted and welcomes back the following international soccer club camps this year. 1. dutch soccer school camp – Campers train with Dutch professional youth coaches that are licensed and extensively trained by the global leader in soccer development, the Royal Dutch Football Federation (KNVB). 2. fc Barcelona camp – Campers have the chance to experience the best-in-world-class FC Barcelona methodology and train for a week with the official coaching staff from FCB's youth academy. 3. la liga camp – Campers train with a team of professional coaches from the top teams in the Spanish league (Atletico de Madrid, Real Madrid, FC Barcelona, Sevilla and more). "By offering these camps we not only generated more income but had the opportunity to introduce and welcome more people to our facility," says Chris McCormick, Uihlein Soccer Park's rental and scheduling coordinator. "Some families had never been here before and were introduced to our birthday party packages, field trip outings, special events, player development programming and select team tryout opportunities. Plus, it allowed our coaching staff the flexibility and availability to do additional coaching and community outreach programming." Tammy Gilpin-Ripp is the Director of Marketing and Sponsorship at Milwaukee Kickers Soccer Club and a presenter at USIndoor's 2019 Conference & Tradeshow. As a partner the international camp program directors, managers, and coaches appreciate the benefits of working with a professional, flexible, and experienced staff. "As an out of state soccer program hosting soccer camps all over the United States, we are absolutely thrilled with the facilities and staff at Milwaukee Kickers/Uihlein Soccer Park," says Catherine Willcock, Dutch Soccer School regional director. "The park is well known and respected, so choosing it for our camps was an easy decision. Everything from communicating with the staff, logistics and access to park amenities, and the quality of the fields is exceptional. All our coaches fly in from Holland, and they also commented on the high caliber of the facility. We not only enjoy the partnership but continue to have successful camps in terms of annual camper enrollment so we will continue to host our camps there." "Soccer is the world's most popular sport," says Alvaro. "That makes our ability to provide and sustainability to host camps with global reach on a local level that much more impactful and memorable for our campers."
