a toothbrush, floss, and lip balm. It was a popular item
liked by families and coaches, some of whom took a
bag for every player on their team.
Games – Games like a prize wheel, bag toss,
or any skills test are fun for youth players and
their families. We encourage
sponsors to ensure that everyone
wins something and walks
away happy. Examples include
temporary tattoos, clap sticks,
or coupons for a free treat to be
redeemed in store (no purchase
required.) Participants who do
well have won items like soccer
balls and t-shirts, but what
matters most is that it's fun
for all.
Mascots – One of
the best ways to engage
onsite and promote offsite is
through the presence of sponsor
mascots. Children flock to them
and parents take photos of them
with their children to share on
their social media accounts.
Our current mascot sponsor
team includes Pounce (panther) from the University
of Wisconsin - Milwaukee, Monty (moose) from
Wilderness Resort and Rooty (griffin) from Sprecher
Brewery (Rooty is the mascot for the brand's locally
brewed root beer.) They are always entertaining
(dancing, fist bumping, high fiving, cheering, etc.)
and crowd favorites.
Product Promotion – What better way to
promote a sponsor brand and product than
with an eye-catching display? Particularly of interest to
and well suited for sponsors who participate in trade
shows and have large signage and branded structures
in their inventory, guests are invited to learn about
the product and test it out. Demonstrations, raffles
and giveaways increase display traffic and keep
the sponsor team communicating with prospective
customers throughout the event.
Community Partner Support – If sponsors
can't be present but wants brand presence,
hosting a community partner that they support and
that aligns with your event can be a win-win. Kohl's
sometimes sends its partner from the Milwaukee
Art Museum to provide creative projects and colorful
keepsakes for players to enjoy before, in between and
after games.
