n Nelson Irrigation Corp. www.nelsonirrigation.com Nelson Irrigation Corporation, a U.S.- based manufacturer, offers the R33 & R33LP Rotators to the agricultural equip- ment market. The R33 Rotator—a “Made in the U.S.A” product—is the winner of the Irrigation Association’s New Product for Agriculture Award. The R33 Rotator saves money, saves time and performs better than the ¾-in. brass impact sprinklers it is designed to re- place. It uses Nelson’s Rotator Technology to provide longer throw distance, fight the wind and deliver uniform coverage. With new advancements in speed control, this break-through design allows the sprinkler to move from slow mode back to a fast mode throughout its rotation. By reducing the speed of rotation intermittently, the Rotator produces a wind-fighting pattern with maximum throw distance. The fast mode also assists in filling out the water pattern for greater uniformity. While brass sprinklers are prone to damage, clogging and theft, the R33 and R33LP are easy to clean, easy to repair and cost less. The Road Guard and Flush Tool acces- sories further enhance the usability of the R33—and are one of the many reasons the Rotator is “Better than Brass.” The Road Guard easily snaps on to con- vert the R33 to part-circle operation. The Flush Tool can be used to disconnect and reconnect the sprinkler for nozzle cleaning while under pressure without getting the irrigator soaked. 28 Sugar Producer June/July 2010
