Legendary, Longevity and Leadership The 2023 BFGoodrich Tires 55th SCORE Baja 500 is now in the history books. One of the footnotes is the amazing 73% finishing rate of this year’s 240 entries! Considering this year’s race route being one the most challenging courses, this is just another testament to the SCORE team’s prep, planning and never quit mentality to get to the finish line. The celebration of the 2023 SCORE 50th Anniversary season continued with this race event’s special Grand Marshal “court” representing the many aspects for SCORE’s history in achieving this unique accomplishment. This SCORE Baja 500 special group included Moto Legend, Johnny Campbell, the infamous “Ironman” Ivan Stewart and former SCORE owner and President, Sal Fish, all of which made this race event even more special with their interactions and reflections with the SCORE racers and fan bases. Another historic event took place illustrating the very important partnership that SCORE has developed with not only the state of Baja but with the Federal Government in Mexico City. SCORE was honored at this SCORE Baja 500, with the Secretary of Tourism of Mexico, Miguel Torruco Marqués, being this is the first time a Federal Secretary of Tourism of Mexico attends a SCORE International race. Needless to say, the week’s race activities, meeting the legends of SCORE off-road motorsports, experiencing the visiting race fanbase, along with witnessing the SCORE events’ positive impact for the city of Ensenada and the Baja peninsula in general, made this partnership even stronger. As we now prepare for the 2023 SCORE World Desert Championship season’s second half SCORE Baja 400 and Baja 1000 race activities, the 2024 race schedule and new innovative race programs, we look forward to introducing the next evolution stage for the SCORE World Desert Championship series. These activities will further enhance SCORE’s legendary, Longevity and leadership role in growing the future of off-road motorsports.
