Page | 5 (Updated August 14, 2024) Hands-On Learning | Proximate Cause: Equipment Tracking and Pull Types Pull Types To take advantage of pull types, the first thing we are going to need to do is define an alternate pull type. The system defaults with the DEFAULT pull type. Every user is defaulted to that pull type and every item is defaulted to utilize that pull type. Additional pull types may be added on the Pull Types page. The Pull Types page in Latitude Web allows for adding, modifying and deleting pull types. 1) Go to Main Menu Administration Item Maintenance Pull Types. You'll see that several pull types have been defined for this demonstration. User Pull Types Each can be assigned a specific pull type if desired or be assigned the "DEFAULT" type. You can also build out (assign) a list of their authorized pull types. Let's review our user from the System Users page. 1) Go to Main Menu Administration System Configuration System Users and pull up "USER04". 2) Click on the Access Rights tab where you'll see the "Default Pull Type" field. Think of "DEFAULT" as behind the scenes. There is a new tab called Authorized Pull Types. This screen displays which pull types this user has access to. As you can see, this user has access to AS, FK, and DEFAULT. Item Configuration Items now need to be configured to utilize different pull types. This is set at the item branch level. 1) Navigate to the Item Branch Maintenance page by clicking on Main Menu Administration Item Branch Maintenance. 2) Select the item "TELE 102" and review its pull type and pull type sequence.
