Page | 3 (Updated August 14, 2024) Hands-On Learning | Proximate Cause: Equipment Tracking and Pull Types Material Handling Equipment Now we have forklift types with Safety Checklists linked to them. We can now create individual forklifts that users would then have access to. This is done on the Review Material Handling Equipment page. 1) Go to Main Menu Administration Material Handling Equipment Review Material Handling Equipment. 2) Click the Add button and let's create our first gas forklift. 3) Fill out the form and assign the appropriate material handling type. 4) Browse to the desktop and add the picture of the forklift. 5) Now, let's repeat the process except this time for the electric forklift. Let's Try It Out 1) Open the Latitude TE application and login using "USER04" and no password. Note the prompt to select your equipment type. 2) You can key, scan, or F2-Lookup your piece of equipment. Note: the F2-Lookup will only list those pieces of equipment (by equipment type) the user is authorized to use. 3) Note that if you're the first person to select a piece of equipment that day, you're prompted to perform the safety check. 4) You'll be prompted according to the Safety Checklist you defined earlier. Selecting 1) OK = proceeds to the next step. Selecting 2) Defective = also proceeds to the next step. Selecting 3) Other = allows for the entry of a note. Selecting 4) Cancel = aborts the equipment type change. 5) After the Safety Checklist is complete, if configured, you will be prompted for the service hours. Enter a value to proceed. Enter a note (or no note) and press Enter to proceed. Changing Equipment 1) You can select Change Equipment from the Utilities Menu. 2) Go to Main Menu 4) Utilities C) Change Equipment Type.
