Page | 2 (Updated August 8, 2024) Hands-On Learning | Shipshape Distribution with Latitude Manifest & Shipping System Let's go over some of the sections of this screen: Shipment ID – This is the sales order ID. Deliver To Address – This section shows the address that the order is being shipped to. Shipment – This section shows you several things: • Carrier Group – This allows you to assign carriers to a GROUP which then will limit the selection list in the "Carrier" drop down. • Carrier – This is the currently selected carrier. It defaulted to the carrier associated with the order, but it can be changed using the drop down. • Account Profile – An account profile represents an origin address/account. For example, Each branch for example would have its own account profile. • Packaging – This is the currently selected packing type. You can use CUSTOM and enter your own dimensions if required or you can set up pre-defined box styles that will be available for selection in the drop down. • Package – This is the package count. If you were shipping multiple packages within this shipment, you can set the count here. This value can also be set to default to the number of loads that the order was picked into. • Package Weight – This would display the weight of the package by reading it from the scale. Since we have no scale, we have it default to 0.5 lbs. You can change that weight manually by entering in a value in the text box. • Dimensions – Here is where you can enter in the dimensions of the box you are going to ship. As mentioned previously, if you chose a defined box style, it would default to those dimensions. Accessorials – This is where you can define various shipment/package level options such as Signature Required, Notification Services. These will differ from carrier to carrier as the offered services will differ. The upper right portion of the screen is where it displays the rate for the current shipment. 3) Any change to the order, such as dimensions, weight, or accessorials, will trigger the order to rate again and update the values. Let's go ahead and change the "Package Weight" value from 0.5 to 10 and click Tab to exit the text box. You will see the rate section now shows a higher value. 4) Toggle an accessorial from the list to see how it's displayed and impacts the rate. On the manifest station in the lower right, you will see a set of checkboxes. These represent the various Carrier Accessorials that can be applied to a shipment/package.
