Page | 8 (Updated August 8, 2024) Hands-On Learning | Shipshape Distribution with Latitude Manifest & Shipping System Go back to the "LMS Manifest Station" and enter "#00503" into the "Shipment ID" text box. Click "OK" on the "Latitude Integrated Shipping" screen. To see a detailed breakdown, click the "Details" tab and then the "Packages" tab. Here you can see the Carrier Invoice Discount of -50% being applied as well as the $3.50 handling charge. The discounted rate is used to modify what the customer will be billed for the associated order. It is not a modification of what the shipper is being billed. You can set up as many discounts as you like. The system will apply the most granular discount if more than one discount would apply to an order. Rate Shop Another feature of LMS is the ability to "Rate Shop" when you pull up an order. Rate Shop allows you to select a list of carriers that you would like to get a rate from. The system will perform a rate for the current shipment for each of the carriers selected and display them on the screen. You can select from the list on the screen if you wish to change from the carrier that was on the sales order. Let's walk through how to use the Rate Shop feature. 1) Go back to the LMS Manifest Station application and enter #00508 into the "Shipment ID". 2) Click "OK" to ship the order and see the rate. 3) This order has the carrier "UPS Next Day Air" associated with it. Click the "Rate Shop" button at the bottom right. On the "Rate Shop" screen, select the following check boxes: 100008 – UPS Ground 100009 – Next Day Air 100015 – UPS 2 nd Day Air 4) Click the "Rate" button in the lower right of the "Rate Shop" window and the system will rate each of those and display the rates. You can double-click one of those entries to select that carrier or click "Cancel" to continue using the original carrier that came down with the order. 5) Go ahead and double-click "UPS Ground" and you will see it return to the main shipping screen and change the carrier to UPS Ground and re-rate.
