Hands-On Learning | Getting the Most Mileage Out of Master Loads
This gives you a completed content label and frees up your
pick load for your next order. Additionally, it marks the load
as staged, moving it from your default pick bin (PICK) to
your default pack bin (STAGE).
This label is highly customizable but typically includes all
the details you will need for later consolidation, verification
and/or the building of a Master Load.
Here's an example of a contents label.
Print a Master Load Label
A new Master Load will require a new Master Load label to
identify it. From the RF menu, select F3 (Tools) 4) Labels
A) Master Load. For the number of labels, use 1.
Master Load Staging
The order/load may now be staged to a Master Load based
on the restriction class. In this case, no Master Load has
been created yet, so the system will expect a new Master
Load to be scanned. Use the Master Load label we printed
above (00000002).
1) Stage to the Master Load, from the main RF Menu: 2) Orders
5) Pack/Stage 1) Stage 3) Master Load 1) Stage.
2) Scan or enter the load ID from the first contents label:
#100000.
This screen tells us that there is not already a Master Load
that meets the criteria for this order, signified by in
the upper right corner, so we will use the new label we have
printed.
3) Scan or enter the Master Load ID 00000002 (preceding
zeros may be dropped when keying in).
4) Press ESC to exit the Build Master Load mode.
Pick and Stage More Orders
Let's pick the next order to demonstrate the directing to the
existing Master Load.
1) Repeat the process above to pick the next order and print
its content label.
When staging the new order to the Master Load, the staging
screen will now show the valid open Master Load in the
upper right corner.
How Do I Manage My Master Loads?
To check the status of Routes, Stops, Master Loads,
unstaged/staged loads, there is a Review Route Stop Status
screen (Main Menu Activities Route Shipments
Review Route Stop Status).
