Notre Dame now transitions from its
two-week stretch facing the triple option
to travel to Pittsburgh, which signifies a
return to normalcy for the defense as far
as the opponent's offensive scheming
goes.
"We get to go back to regular football
now, and that's a big thing," Smith said.
Notre Dame has won four games in a
row since losing to Oklahoma at home
Sept. 28. Three games (Pittsburgh, BYU
and Stanford) remain on the schedule to
close out the regular season.
"I think we've got to continue with
what we're doing, not look at the big
picture and stay focused," Rees said.
"The weekly preparations have been
key for us.
"Just keep executing throughout the
week and find a way to win games." ✦
