prep profiles Four-Star Pennsylvania Running Back High On Irish Warrington (Pa.) Central Bucks South running back Josh Adams is one of the most versatile and explosive backs in the class of 2015. The 6-1, 182-pound athlete has early offers from Boston College, Penn State, Pittsburgh, Stanford and Temple, but the Notre Dame tender really grabbed his attention. "I'm looking for a school that gives me the best chance to succeed academically and with football," Adams said. "Notre Dame would definitely give me the opportunity for a great future. "I've seen what they can do with the running backs, and I know that I could do well in that offense. I also know that a degree from Notre Dame will take me places in life." Notre Dame running backs coach Tony Alford offered the junior standout personally and that conversation told Adams a lot about what it would be like having the Irish assistant as his position coach. "Coach Alford is a really great guy," Adams said. "He said he watched my film and was just excited about the things I could do in space and how I have speed and power when I run and that I can make people miss. "He thinks I have a great future ahead of me and thinks he can take me to the next level. His excitement on the phone impressed me, and I really liked that. It was different." Another class of 2015 recruit has already told him how great Notre Dame is in person, and that has Adams excited. "I talked to Andre Robinson, a guy in my class from Pennsylvania, and he told me that the campus was beautiful and he said he loved it up there," he said. " "He's a guy that they are looking at for the running back spot, too, but we're cool and we just laugh about that stuff. He did tell me some really nice things about the school and campus, though." Adams said he has also heard from Alabama, Florida State, LSU, Rutgers and Tennessee among others. — Tom Loy
