Through the generosity of our donor
community, Mount Sinai Hospital is
building for the future. Our Campaign
to Renew Sinai will ensure we
have the facilities, equipment,
talent and resources to champion
the important role Mount Sinai
plays in health systems innovation.
Mount Sinai began as a small
maternity hospital and today women
and infant care is one of our most
celebrated strengths. We are continuing this tradition of
excellence with the opening of three new units in our Frances
Bloomberg Centre for Women's and Infants' Health. The new
Slaight Family Labour & Delivery Unit, Newton Glassman
Charitable Foundation Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and
Am Israel Chai Antenatal Unit join the David & Stacey Cynamon
Mother & Baby Unit, which opened in 2012. The opening of
these units, slated for early 2015, represents one of the most
important and inspiring transformations in our Hospital's history.
We hope this issue of The Best Medicine Matters demonstrates
how deeply your support continues to impact our patients.
You can read about our expertise in maternity and newborn
care, and the work we are doing in related areas like male
fertility, perinatal mental health and gestational diabetes —
illustrating our thorough and steadfast dedication to helping
new and growing families have the best possible start.
Thank you for your generous support of Mount Sinai.
Sincerely,
Kevin R. Goldthorp
