Dynamic 5‑7 wide receiver Shane Wynn
is one of the top multi‑purpose weapons
in program history. The senior ranks in the
top 10 for career kick return yardage (third,
1,808), receiving touchdowns (fourth, 19),
catches (fourth, 160), all‑purpose yards
(seventh, 3,270), receiving yards (ninth,
1,914) and total scores (ninth, 23).

"They are very dependent on Tevin, but,
in my opinion, the one guy they couldn't
lose was Nate," Weaver explained. "As
good as Tevin is, I think they could have
managed without him, but without Nate,
they're really hurting and can't throw the

happened against Michigan State [in his
first start].

An offseason switch to the 3‑4 defense
and a plethora of experienced returners has
helped improve the defense some, but not
