2014 SCORE BAJA 1000 RACE RECAP no way I could 'ironman' this race, but boy did I prove so many people wrong." Despite a broken A-arm and running third throughout most of the race, Burnett managed to finish in allotted time and clinched the 2014 SCORE UTV Pro Championship. "We were impressed with effort put forth by all our teams, but especially Marc Burnett, who not only won the SCORE Class 19 championship, but also completed the entire 2014 Baja 1000 Ironman," said Jeff Leclerc, Racing Project Leader, Can-Am. Winning the SCORE Championship and completing the race solo, requires a lot of focus and determination that is difficult for anyone to accomplish. Burnett attributes his determination from focusing on the passing of his grandmother. "This season is dedicated to a very special lady, my grandmother, who passed away 11 months ago," he says. "I want to thank my team for all their hard work throughout the year. I couldn't have done it without them. I also thank all my key sponsors and Can-Am for giving me the opportunity to race one of their machines." Coming off the Baja 1000 victory, Burnett and the MB Racing team recently announced they will be joining the Polaris RZR factory racing team for the 2015 season. "I have enjoyed my time racing as part of the Can- Am Team. We have put in a lot of effort the past two seasons and are grateful for all that Can-Am did for us," says Burnett. "But we are extremely excited to be with Polaris that has a dominant platform and a great factory support program. We couldn't be more excited to see just how the 2015 season unfolds."
