Braille Intensity i34S Lithium-Ion
SUPER LIGHTWEIGHT
BATTERIES
BRAILLE BATTERIES
Braille Batteries are a super light-weight design
available in AGM or Lithium and are used in
many racing applications where weight and
size are important considerations. Both types of
batteries deliver a higher, cleaner voltage which
improves the performance of every electrical
component from quicker starting, to improved
management and data logging performance. With
less horsepower draw from the alternator due to
efficient charging (5 times faster than lead), Braille's
Lithium batteries will last 3-5 times longer under
the harshest environments, proving them reliable
while providing significant weight savings. These
batteries won't self-discharge, so if the battery
is disconnected it can sit for over a year and still
have over 13 volts to start the vehicle. Many of
the "big batteries" in the Braille Lithium Line range
from 9-18 pounds and will run circles around large
lead batteries. WEBSITE: www.braillebattery.com
Alcon's New Caliper
BIGGER BRAKES TO STOP
TROPHY TRUCKS
ALCON USA
Alcon brakes has seen numerous victories and
championships in Trans Am, IndyCar, IMSA,
Grand Am, and NASCAR racing series. Recently,
Alcon has made the move into desert trophy
truck racing, developing a bespoke system,
as seen on Jay Reichert's #26 truck. Alcon's
new calipers for trophy trucks feature cross-
drilled stainless steel pistons with wear resistant
coating. Each caliper is internally ported with
no external fluid transfer pipe. Bleed screws
have been recessed for protection and sealed
with caps to keep them clean. Each fluid inlet
is positioned in the underside of the housing
for protection against the elements and the
central bridge with facility for cooling duct
directs air across the caliper to keep the outer
half cool. WEBSITE: www.alconusa.com
