Spring 2015 - 93 www.turftrends.com When I see weakened turf from lack of coverage, maybe we just need to remove an old style of head and add a new updated model or simply change out nozzles to improve coverage. I find myself each year adding heads on the rough line to act as a backup head to improve the turf stand. My team has put a ton of time and money into improving our irrigation system. Initially it took a lot of work, but now we are at the point where we are fine-tuning it. Prioritize We had to complete an inventory of each hole to identify inadequacy with our coverage and areas that would be improved by irrigation improvements or enhancements. Once we understood the scope of our challenge, we began planning how to best address the issues we were facing. Timelines, pri- oritization and costs were then factored in as we established our best and most effective course of action. My improvements over the years to the irrigation system have improved the way the system applies water. Yet there are still always areas for improve- ment. This is where I find myself now after complet- ing my goals of major improvements to our irrigation system. Plateau Club after irrigation upgrade
