MICHIGAN RECRUITING
style quarterback and No. 211 overall
prospect in the country according
to Rivals.com. Peters was offered
by Harbaugh and company Feb. 9,
and immediately put the Wolverines
among his leaders. He will be in Ann
Arbor for the first time April 4 to take
in the U-M's spring game.
A new name on Michigan's radar
is Logan Byrd of Veterans High in
Kathleen, Ga. Byrd, who is listed
as a four-star recruit and the No. 12
dual-threat quarterback nationally
by Rivals.com, had been committed
to Virginia Tech since September of
last year and originally said that he
would not be looking around at all.
Those feelings have changed, and
he's now back on the market.
After connecting with the Mich-
igan coaches on Twitter a few
weeks ago, Byrd was in Ann Arbor
March 13. While he didn't pick up
an offer, his visit showed his interest
and could result in one down the
road. He is also getting serious inter-
est from Florida and was recently
offered by West Virginia. Michigan
is obviously in good shape if he's
willing to visit so quickly after his
decommitment, but his recruitment
is far from over.
Finally, another quarterback who is
recently back on the market and on
the map for U-M is Waxhaw (N.C.)
Cuthbertson junior Austin Kendall.
Rivals.com's No. 3 pro-style quarter-
back and No. 27 overall prospect in
the nation tweeted out that he would
be decommitting from Tennessee.
According to Rivals.com Mid-Atlan-
tic recruiting analyst Adam Fried-
man, Auburn and Kentucky are
the two frontrunners after Kendall
