This was suggested by one of our attorneys, and I had him type a short memo on the iPad. He wanted an external keyboard and a mouse, so we deduced that there was little difference between that and a laptop. However, one of my attorneys has commented that he likes that a tablet creates less of a "barrier" between him and a client when in use. iPads are WONDERFUL for consuming information, but they're less than wonderful for creating information. I am unaware of any way to make an iPad a domain device and work within our Active Directory structure, not to mention the security issues that it would involve. Is anyone out there doing this?
